BELLE VERNON – At its regular monthly meeting on June 4, the Belle Vernon Borough Council voted unanimously in favor of adopting a resolution that appoints Steven Collinet, as a Junior Council Member. Collinet, a 17-year-old Belle Vernon Area High School student inquired about the program, which is part of a program offered by the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB). While he is unable to cast a vote on issues or attend executive council sessions, Collinet will use his in improving the environment. He will be recognized by PSAB. After the resolution was approved, Collinet, was sworn in by Mayor Gerlad Jackson II.
