The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Belle Vernon has a message for all customers. Due to recent repairs to our reservoir, and in an abundance of caution for customers, the MABV has issued a boil water advisory. This precautionary action is taken when there is a risk of contamination. It’s in the interest of public health that the authority and the DEP issue these to absolutely sure that the water customers are receiving is safe. The MABV has successfully flushed our systems and tested the water. We will continue to test for two consecutive days. Please boil tap water for one minute before consumption or use an alternative source of water. We apologize for the inconvenience and we are diligently working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Please check your phone notification and this website for the latest information. Inadequately treated water may contain disease-causing organisms. These symptoms, however, are not caused only in drinking water, but also other factors. You may want to seek medical advice. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. If you have any questions, please contact the manager at 929-8138
